Deliverance Church Uganda

Deliverance Church Uganda is based in Kampala, Uganda and is overseen by Pastor Peter Joseph Idembe. It currently has 631 congregations in Uganda, one in Eastern Congo and one in Burundi. Our vision is ‘a mature Holy Spirit-empowered church, transforming the nations and advancing the Kingdom of God’, outworked in the theme of Keeping Jesus' Agenda (anchored in Luke 4:18,19). We are in the process of updating our policy framework and ministry Team leadership to pace up our reach in the unreachable areas of Uganda and the demographic reality of the largely young population (70% under 30 years old). We have curved out new apostolic bases to make a total of 9. We are planning to reemphasize the community unit model to make our discipleship, church growth and church planting efforts more effective. There is a renewed effort to expand our local resource mobilization to build capacity to attend to the growing demands.
