6 TEAM PRIORITIES

Apostolic (fivefold, Ephesians 4) teams have a heart and responsibility to create a movement of healthy, growing and missional churches, not simply sustain and support existing churches with their existing members.

We use a simple arrow graphic to teach these points, highlighting that extension and impartation of the supernatural should be at the leading edge of the mission.

As we read the NT descriptions of apostolic teams, we see a number of important things that they did. We see this as a pattern for our Salt & Light apostolic teams today

Joemon & Sunitha Joseph

Joemon and Sunitha took on leadership of the S&L International Apostolic Team in May 2025, following a two-year transition period working alongside Steve and Lorraine Thomas. Joemon is the Senior Pastor for the Gateway Ministries International (GMI) group of churches and Bombay Baptist Church, Mumbai. Since sensing the call of God towards pastoring in 1999, he has been involved in leading and planting churches. He is passionate about disciple-making, raising leaders and church planting. He is married to Sunitha who is a counsellor and social worker. She works as a consultant with an NGO called ACT in Mumbai and also runs her own counselling practice. They have 2 sons who are working and a daughter who is in 11th grade.

Naren & Sulekha Thapa

Naren Thapa oversees one of the GMI clusters of churches. He supports GMI in equipping the churches in spiritual gifts and leads the prophetic team. Prior to this, he worked in the Indian Naval Dockyard and for 15 plus years, along with his wife, Sulekha, served as House parents for a children's home run by Sahaara Charitable Society, a social wing of GMI.

Percy & Felicia Kadziyanike

Percy and Felicia are based in Harare, Zimbabwe and are part of Faith Ministries (FM) serving as the current Senior Pastor for Zimbabwe as well as a member of the FM International Council. Percy also currently leads Inuka Afrika, and is a board member of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe. With an evident passion for church planting and the establishment of strong nation plants, Percy and Felicia are committed to the equipping of saints for the work of ministry. Percy and Felicia are both active in the marketplace as a consultant and a teacher respectively. They are blessed with three boys and a daughter-in-law.

Oscar & Jennifer Amisi

Oscar and Jennifer are passionate about discipleship and leadership development. They are parents of a teenage daughter. Oscar leads also M28 – a disciple making initiative that works with churches currently in Kenya to entrench discipleship as a culture. He is also a co-convener of Re-imagine Church conference, an annual gathering of Pastors and leaders in Nairobi who are passionate about disciple making, leadership development and church planting. He is an ardent reader and writer and runs a weekly leadership podcast. Oscar is the senior associate pastor at Deliverance Church Umoja in Nairobi, Kenya.

Peter & Caroline Idembe

Peter is a member of the national Ministry Apostolic Team, a Pastor at Deliverance Church Makerere Hill (the mother church of Deliverance Church Uganda) and was recently called to the role of General Overseer of DC Uganda, overseeing 631 congregations. Caroline is passionate about peace and alternative dispute resolution. She is a dedicated peace practitioner with a diverse and impressive legal background spanning over twenty-five years and currently serves as a Legal, Policy Advocacy, Partnerships & Resource Mobilization specialist. Her passion for peace and her commitment to creating a harmonious society are evident in her role as chair of the Women Regional Network EA and in various other initiatives. They have twin daughters and two boys.

Alain-Pascal & Pascaline Mbwentoum

Alain Pascal Mbwentoum leads Destinée Afrique Francophonie, the French-speaking chapter of S&L in Africa. As part of this, he works closely with local partners in Africa to advance the gospel in unreached places in French-speaking Africa. His heart is for “mission at all costs”! He is a missionary and the senior pastor of the CEM church, which he pioneered in both France and Africa. Alain Pascal and his wife Pascaline have 5 children.

Steve & Lorraine Thomas

Having been based in Oxfordshire, UK, for the whole of their married life, Steve and Lorraine moved to Nottingham a couple of years ago. They travel widely training, teaching and coaching leadership teams, working particularly alongside the team in French-speaking Europe, and supporting national apostolic teams. Steve and Lorraine have recently started leading a new European team, following a fresh sense of calling to those nations. Having led the International Apostolic Team of Salt & Light for over 15 years, they have now reached the end of a two-year transition of leadership to Joemon and Sunitha from GMI, India.

Anderson & Lydia Moyo

Anderson Moyo is the Senior Pastor of Sheffield Community Church based in South Yorkshire, UK. Anderson serves as the Team Leader of the Momentum Sphere (Salt & Light UK), an emerging family of diaspora churches passionate about advancing the kingdom, making disciples, and planting Intercultural churches reaching both local and migrant people-groups. Anderson is married to Lydia and they have three children. Lydia is heavily involved in working with the underprivileged, the homeless and broken families in Sheffield through MannaHouse, a Christian charity focused on alleviating poverty, mentoring and transforming lives through the gospel of Jesus Christ. She gives vision and leadership to MannaHouse charity.

Rich and Anna Ellwood are team leaders for the Salt & Light Advance family of churches in the UK. They recently returned to the UK from Brussels, where they spent many years establishing a thriving and multicultural local church. As well as now leading Advance, they lead Witney Community Church.

Mats & Monica Nordén

Mats and Monica got married in 1988 and started to serve God together. Through the years they have built a strong base in Västerås, Sweden, and through that base they have reached into the city of Västerås, into many cities in the nation and nations in the world. They have been in the Salt and Light family since the nineties and lead the Swedish apostolic team of Sweden. They are members of both the Europe and the International apostolic teams of Salt and Light. Through their passion for the gospel of the Kingdom and the God-given grace they carry, they are well known in the country of Sweden and, through their work, an example to many. Mats and Monica have 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren.

Eddy and Anne are part of the leadership team of Destinée Francophonie, the family of French-speaking Salt & Light churches. They joined the S&L International Team in 2017. Eddy and Anne also lead a church in the region of Lille in Northern France. Their pastoral and apostolic hearts are a blessing to many. They have five children.

Ron and Mary MacLean passed the leadership baton of Gateway Church in Winnipeg after 43 years. Ron continues to lead the Salt & Light Central family of churches in North America and is part of the Salt & Light International Team. Ron also is Executive Director and a coach with Church Renewal International, a global discipleship movement. Ron and Mary have four daughters, four sons-in-law and three delightful grandchildren.

Andrew and Rachelle and their 5 children currently live in Nelson, B.C. They have a heart for seeing churches strengthened and becoming all that God wants them to be. They are passionate about God's church being on his mission, seeing new disciples themselves making disciples. They feel called to plant churches and to see others raised up and sent out, and want to see the church mobilised to reach the local and to go to the nations.

Doug and Denise Kreighbaum live in Kansas City, USA, and are participating in a new church plant there. They have four married daughters and eleven grandchildren. Doug heads up the leadership team of the C2C (Coast 2 Coast) family of churches as well as being part of the International Team for Salt & Light.

Jeremy and Ruth Pingel lead Life Church in Kirksville, Missouri, USA. They also lead a group of several churches in the central part of the nation, and serve on the national team for C2C. Jeremy helps provide prophetic insight and training when called upon, and Ruth is a worship leader who helps develop young worshipers and musicians. They have two grown daughters and two sons.

Tom & Andrea Bedford

Tom and Andrea Bedford were born and raised in California's Central Valley. After marrying and completing Tom's education at Azusa Pacific University, they started to travel and minister. Following several years of pastoring a local church in the Midwest and traveling throughout the US and internationally, they returned to Central California, where Tom began to lead Bread of Life Church in Fresno. They continue to travel and serve nations, equipping the body of Christ. They have five children and twelve grandchildren.

Shane & Erin Good

Shane & Erin are based in West Lafayette, IN, US, where Shane is the senior leader at Campus House, a church in the heart of Purdue University's campus. Shane also leads the Foundation Ministries family of churches in the US Midwest. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2025, and have a son & daughter, who happen to be twins.
