India has a number of churches connected to the Salt and Light family. As well as a family of churches relating to Stanley and Esme Mehta there are several other churches relating to one or more of the apostolic ministries within our international family. Stanley and Esme Mehta lead the work of Gateway Ministries International. Gateway has grown from Bombay Baptist Church, Mumbai, India, a church which began to grow significantly in the early 1980's and which has now developed into more than 70 satellite units across the city, ministering in 7 language groups. The church has a strong commitment to serve slum-dwellers, street children, orphans, prostitutes, children of prostitutes, blind, eunuchs, prisoners, young offenders, and illiterates. It also runs its own Bible schools in English and Hindi. The church has a well established equipping track and periodically publishes Bible study resource material which is translated into several languages. The leadership team also oversees several other churches in the nation, namely in Delhi, Miraj, Kolhapur, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Secunderabad, Conoor, Coimbatore, Patna, Vizag, etc and four churches outside the country namely in Dubai & Sharjah in United Arab Emirates, Lagos in Nigeria, and Yangon in Myanmar.
