Preachers' Training

The call to stand up and communicate God’s word to people he loves is a great privilege.
The skills to enable this to happen with maximum effectiveness need to be learned, honed and developed. The ability to expound God’s word in the 21st century with authority, clarity and relevance is massively challenging in a world that is suspicious of authority and prefers spin and the feel-good factor.
We have to think hard how we go about preparing to respond to God’s call to preach his word; we have to understand God and his world. It’s a huge task. I highly commend this course for preachers. Those of us who preach need it, and our family of churches needs it!

Let’s face it, in the busy life of ministry with all its demands, adequate preparation for preaching can often get squeezed out. Yet preaching remains one of God’s key chosen tools for communicating his life-giving Word. This course is aimed at those who want to make that communication even better!
It is anticipated that participants will be those who have had a fair amount of experience in preaching (rather than novices) but who would like to sharpen up their skills.
